Personal Geocaching history

The reason that led my on to the Geocaching trail was my interest for GPS. I used to work with this almost since the beginning, or at least when it became a possibility for civilians to buy the stuff. For one period I used to work for the Magellan distributor in Sweden. We were somewhat of pioneers at the time. Already in the mid 1990's we predicted what actually is the truth today. GPS-system in cars, trucks, taxis etc.

When reading "everything" on Internet about GPS related stuff, I accidentally stumbled on a link to geocaching.com.

This is a summary of the following development

• Member since 12 February 2001 as member 3843

• First found cache: Americana Cache 08 April 2001 

• First cache of my own: Garmin Challenge 19 April 2001

• My brother, "Gavia", joined in June 2001

• My niece and her boyfriend, "The Swede & Turnip", joined in August 2003

• My wife, "hesy", joined in February 2004

• Logged my cache number 1000 on our trip to South Africa in March 2010 My wife, "hesy", joined in February 2004
